Papa Piccione’s Fundraiser

Looking for a great reason to not cook over Spring Break?  Kent City’s own Papa Piccione’s is hosting a fundraiser for the PTCO all day Thursday, April 7th.  A portion of all sales (dine-in or take-out) will be donated back to the PTCO.  Because of our fundraising efforts, the PTCO is able to provide much needed financial and other general support, including:

  • Senior Scholarships
  • Funding Field Trips
  • Donations to all School Libraries
  • Odyssey of the Mind Team Sponsorship
  • Teacher Requests for the Classrooms
  • Prizes in the Classrooms

PTCO Board Members Needed

Together, we can make a world of difference! Please consider sharing your time and talents with the Kent City PTCO.  We are actively looking for anyone that is interested in serving as a PTCO board member after the current term is complete in June.  There are several current board members that do not plan to serve for another term; therefore there will be several vacancies.  These vacancies NEED to be filled in order for the PTCO to continue serving our school and community effectively.  Board member terms are for only 2 years.  Nominations will be accepted in April, with elections to be held in May.  If you are interested or simply have a question, please contact Mary Wilson at “At the end of the day, the most overwhelming key to a child’s success is the positive involvement of parents” -Jane D. Hull

Cash for Labels Being Discontinued

Spartan Stores are discontinuing their Cash for Labels program at the end of the year. If you have been saving Spartan UPC’s, please turn them in to your child’s teacher by December 18th so we can redeem them one last time. Thank you!

Looking for Ice Cream Donations!

Have you ever wondered how you can help out the PTCO, but just can’t find the time to volunteer?  Here is a great opportunity for YOU!  The PTCO is selling ice cream sundaes at all home, Varsity basketball games.  The funds raised by these sales will be put toward scholarships for two Kent City seniors in the spring.  If you would like to donate a large pail of ice cream for these sales, please contact Mary Wilson at  The more ice cream we can get donated, the more funds can go toward our Kent City students!

December 2015 PTCO Meeting Cancelled

Due to the fact that the December 2015 PTCO meeting would have fallen on a day over Christmas vacation, it was decided that the meeting would be cancelled.  The next PTCO meeting will be on Monday, 1/25/16, at 6:30 pm in the Administration Building.  Hope to see you there!
