Wednesday the 28th is the first Middle School Activity Night of the year and will take place from 3-5 pm. They are looking for donations of treats such as cookies, brownies, and cupcakes to sell. They would need to be dropped off to Amy in the office by 2:30 that day and do not need to be individually wrapped. If you can help with this need, please contact Mary Wilson at kceaglemary@gmail.com

Summer Scrip Changes

During the months of July and August, we will be ordering Scrip cards on the 15th of the month rather than every other Friday. All other Scrip ordering (such as Scrip Now, and Reload) will stay the same. If you would like more information on how to get started earning money for your students to use for any school expenses, please contact Danyle Bowers at danylebowers@hotmail.com

Attention All Parents of KCCS Students!

For the past several years the PTCO has provided a free sno-cone to each KCCS student (elementary through high school) near the end of the school year as a reward for a job “well done”! We are nearing that time again, but with the end of year busyness, we are in desperate need of additional volunteers to provide this for the kids. If we don’t have additional helpers volunteer, we are in jeopardy of not being able to do this for our students. The dates we are planning to provide the sno-cones for each of the schools are as follows:
•HS – Friday, 5/29, after the seniors graduation practice (time TBD), and during the school lunch periods (This would be a great opportunity for some parents of seniors to help out! 🙂 )
•MS – Wed, 6/3, during school lunch periods
•EL – Tues, 6/9, mostly during school lunch periods

If you are willing/able to help out any or all of these dates or have any questions, please contact Mandi Bair at honeybairs@juno.com

Fundraiser Unloading

The elementary teachers are looking for help unloading and sorting the spring Goodie Factory fundraiser on April 22nd at around 12:30 pm. If you are able to help with this need or have any questions, please contact Mrs. Johnson at linda.Johnson@kentcityschools.org

Middle School Dance

The middle school will be having a dance on May 20th and they are looking for cookie donations (do not need to be wrapped individually) and for someone to take candid pictures. If you can help with these needs please contact Tona Long at tona.long@kentcityschools.org

Sno-Cones

We will be selling sno-cones at three home track meets this spring. The dates are April 24th (3:30 pm), May 15 and May 19 (times TBA). We will also be selling them at baseball and softball districts on May 30, starting at 10:30 am. We would love some help selling sno-cones at these events so if you are able to help please contact Mary Wilson at kceaglemary@gmail.com.

Pennies for Patients

Starting on April 13th and running through the 24th, there will be a Pennies for Patients classroom contest at the elementary school. Send in any coins you may have with your students and the classroom that raises the most money will be rewarded with a pizza party. Every penny of this fantastic fundraiser goes to help with cancer research. In addition, we will be counting all of this change on the 20th and 24th, so if you would like to help with that, we would greatly appreciate it. If you have any questions, please contact Paula Maloney at paula-maloney@att.net
